8-ounce packages cream cheese |
| 1 1/2 |
cups sugar, divided |
| 2 |
sticks melted butter or margarine |

Cinnamon to taste |

Preheat oven to 425°.

Cut crusts off bread slices. Roll bread slices very thin.

Put slices between damp paper towels for 1 hour.

In a large bowl, beat egg yolks well.

In a separate bowl, cream together cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar.

Add the cream cheese mixture to the egg yolks and beat well.

Spread bread slices with cheese mixture and roll up each slice like a jelly roll.

In a shallow pan, mix cinnamon with remaining sugar.

Dip bread rolls in melted butter then in sugar and cinnamon mixture. Cut bread rolls in half.

Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove to cooling racks.

Freezing Tip
After rolling in sugar and cinnamon, put the bread rolls on a cookie sheet and place in the freezer. When the rolls are hard, pack in a freezer bag or container and return to the freezer. When ready to bake, cut each roll in half, place on a lightly greased cookie sheet and follow the baking instructions above.
